Baltit Fort Hunza Valley

A towering fortress with a rich history spanning back to the era of archaeology, Baltit Fort enjoys a rich past and has a fascinating legend of the legends that once inhabited it. During his visit to the Hunza Valley, Prince Agha Khan stayed at this fort. A majestic view of the surrounding area is available from the fort. Currently, the fort is situated at the top of the bazaar.

A fairy-tale castle, Baltit, stands above Karimabad with its wooden bay windows offering breathtaking views across the valley. In the aftermath of a conflict between two of the ruler’s sons, the rulers relocated to Altit Fort.

Another impressive fort in the Hunza Valley is the Baltit Fort. If you are in the area, make sure to visit it if you have the opportunity. The fort has been around for approximately 600 years according to historians. Numerous reconstructions and modifications have been made to the building over the centuries.

Altit Fort Hunza Valley

Its royal garden and the communities surrounding it make the fort a famous landmark. Wearing traditional dresses, the old ladies converse in their colonial houses. It is common to skate in swimming pools during the winter. Above Karimabad in the Hunza Valley, the ancient Altit Fort offers captivating views.

Hereditary rulers of Hunza held the title Mir. Altit Fort was once home to a prince around 1100 years ago. Currently, the site is occupied by a museum. Stunning examples of architecture and craftsmanship can be found in these two forts. Due to its design by the Agha Khan Culture Trust, this building preserves cultural heritage for future generations. There is more to Fort Altit than its location.
