I always find lush green mountains with trees and streams more beautiful than the rugged, dry, stony mountains found in most areas of Gilgit side. If I had to choose any place for its greenery and beauty it would be Kumrat, especially Jahaz Banda. Such a beautiful trek and to my surprise very clean compared to other treks in Pakistan probably due to not being that popular such as the likes of Fairy Meadows.

Kumrat Valley Road Conditions:

Smooth road till Dir. You will face only few patches of worn out road only near to Thal. Upon reaching thal You have to park your car in parking area then you’ll pick 4×4 jeeps either for Kumrat forest or Jahaz Banda you are planning for. Check the climate and season before visit this place.
