The primary attraction of the Kashmir trip is Ratti Gali. You will embark on an adventurous jeep ride lasting 3.5 hours. It’s a challenging journey filled with bumps and dust, but the stunning view at the end makes it worthwhile. I wouldn’t suggest this ride for elderly individuals. The vehicle will be left in Dowarian, and from that point, you’ll need to take a jeep to reach the base camp of Ratti Gali. At the base camp, you’ll discover a variety of delicious foods. It’s advisable to try the local Kashmiri cuisine.
From the Ratti base camp, you can either hike for 45 minutes or take a horse ride to reach Ratti Gali. Expect cold temperatures, so be sure to bring a jackets and a warm hat; otherwise, you might end up with a headache. I suggest taking the horse ride for a more enjoyable experience at Ratti Gali and then returning by hiking.
Many camping enthusiasts set up at the Ratti Gali base camp and relish the beautiful starry nights. Capturing images of the galaxy can also be a great idea. Appropriate Asian-style washrooms are available there. Camping is highly recommended.
Note: Tourists from Karachi and other cities of Pakistan can join this tour from Lahore or Islamabad.

You can travel through Murree Expressway to Azad Kashmir by bus from Islamabad to Murree (2-way carpeted road). From Murree to Muzaffarabad (single carpeted road). Some of the parts From Muzaffarabad to Keran LOC are land sliding areas. Afterward, Keran to Sharda road is not in good condition. Sharda to Arang Kel and Taobat need jeeps to explore the surrounding valleys.
There is no airport in Azad Kashmir due to its close proximity to the Indian Line of Control, requiring a 5 to 6-hour road trip to reach Kashmir, Pakistan, from Capital City.
In recent years, many new hotels have opened, offering excellent hospitality to visitors.
Most of the people of Karachi travel to Lahore or Islamabad by public bus, train, and airplane for Northern Tours. First of all, the drivers of Karachi are not enough experts to drive on mountainous routes. If the vehicle gets out of order, then impossible to change the vehicle from Karachi. So all the tours start from Lahore or Islamabad.
